ON-Page SEO

On-page SEO is the practice of optimizing individual web pages in order to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. On-page refers to both the content and HTML source code of a page that can be optimized, as opposed to off-page SEO which refers to links and other external signals.

On-page optimization (AKA on-page SEO) refers to all measures that can be taken directly within the website in order to improve its position in the search rankings. Examples of this include measures to optimize the content or improve the meta description and title tags.

Different On-Page Optimization Methods

Title Tag Optimization- Its called SEO Title. It appears on the head section of the website.  SEO title is important as the content given in the title is used by Google to identify the website when it crawls for the same.

Meta Description TagThe meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a brief summary of a web page. Search engines such as Google often display the meta description in search results, which can influence click-through rates. The user gets an idea about the content in the webpage by reading the description given below the title.

URL StructureThis aspect involves checking whether search-engine-friendly URLs are being used and whether the existing URLs are logically related to one another. The process of optimizing content should include making sure associated keywords are present, adding meta and title tags, and relevant links. Giving heading tags like h1, h2, h3 h4. Content and image have to be optimized so that Google can easily identify the same while crawling.

Keyword Optimization-Keyword optimization (also known as keyword research) is the act of researching, analyzing and selecting the best keywords to target to drive qualified traffic from search engines to your website.

Anchor Text OptimizationAnchor text is the clickable text in a hyperlink. SEO best practices dictate that anchor text be relevant to the page you're linking to, rather than generic text. The blue, underlined anchor text is the most common as it is the web standard, although it is possible to change the color and underlining through html code.

SEO On-Page Content Optimization Guidelines

  • The most important factor to keep in mind while creating new content is that the content material should be fresh, relevant and unique.
  • The page should not compromise in the content quality.
  • The page and its content will get better reach if it is simple and user-friendly
  • Complex content will comparatively get weaker rankings as Google prioritize them less, because most of the users are least interested in complex content.
  • Avoid long sentences. Use less than 20 words in a sentence.
  • Use focusing keywords in the initial sentences so that the user gets an idea about the content on the page.
  • Use focusing keywords at least 2 times in the body portion.
  • Make words bold in middle of the sentences so that it becomes  more easy for the reader.
