SEO On-Page Optimization Guidelines
ON-Page SEO
On-page SEO is the practice of optimizing individual web pages in order to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. On-page refers to both the content and HTML source code of a page that can be optimized, as opposed to off-page SEO which refers to links and other external signals.
On-page optimization (AKA on-page SEO) refers to all measures that can be taken directly within the website in order to improve its position in the search rankings. Examples of this include measures to optimize the content or improve the meta description and title tags.
Different On-Page Optimization Methods
Title Tag Optimization- Its called SEO Title. It appears on the head section of the website. SEO title is important as the content given in the title is used by Google to identify the website when it crawls for the same.
URL Structure- This aspect involves checking whether search-engine-friendly URLs are being used and whether the existing URLs are logically related to one another. URL length can also be checked on as part of on-page optimization. The presence of keywords in the URL also make a difference in the webpage ranking.
Content Optimization- Content optimization is the process of making sure content is written in a way that it can reach the largest possible target audience. The process of optimizing content should include making sure associated keywords are present, adding meta and title tags, and relevant links. Giving heading tags like h1, h2, h3 h4. Content and image have to be optimized so that Google can easily identify the same while crawling.
Keyword Optimization-Keyword optimization (also known as keyword research) is the act of researching, analyzing and selecting the best keywords to target to drive qualified traffic from search engines to your website.
Anchor Text Optimization- Anchor text is the clickable text in a hyperlink. SEO best practices dictate that anchor text be relevant to the page you're linking to, rather than generic text. The blue, underlined anchor text is the most common as it is the web standard, although it is possible to change the color and underlining through html code.
